Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 Neo in India couple of weeks ago for Rs. 40,900. The Korean company after the launch started taking pre-orders of the smartphone at reduced price. Now, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is officially available from Samsung India eStore for Rs. 38,990. The smartphone comes in black, white and mint green colours, but only the black colour Note 3 Neo is available for purchase.

The press release issued by the company revealed that the device is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor. However, Samsung failed to mention the existence of an octa-core version of the Galaxy S5 at its announcement.

Along with HTC Desire 816, HTC has also announced a new mid-range Android smartphone with LTE connectivity. Dubbed as HTC Desire 610, the smartphone will be available across Europe beginning May 2014. Similar to Desire 816, the Desire 601 also comes in range of colours like White, Black, Gray, Green, Orange and Dark Blue. No word on pricing details yet.

HTC has officially took the wraps off the HTC Desire 816 at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona today. The Desire 816 is the Desire 8 with a new name and comes with a 5.5-inch display. Sony has started its product offensive for the year 2014 by announcing the Xperia Z2 smartphone, the successor to the very popular Xperia Z1. Sony is working on giving its mid-range smartphone segment a boost these days and is preparing quite a few devices to do the talking for it. Sony's D5103 device that had leaked last week has now given a look at its specs. It will get a 5.2-inch display which will be a 720p (HD) unit and the smartphone will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 chipset which will feature a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 305 GPU.

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy S4 starting today. The update is currently rolling out for the Exynos-based Galaxy S4 in Russia, Snapdragon 600 running Galaxy S4 is expected to get the update shortly. The update is available for download via over-the-air (OTA) and also via Kies PC software.
