Samsung Announced New REX Series Smartphones in India

Samsung Unveiled a New Series of Feature Phones in India. Dubbed REX, the range includes REX 60, REX 70, REX 80 and REX 90 devices with prices ranging from Rs. 4,280 (about $79) to Rs. 6,490 ($120).

The top-model (if we can call it that), REX 90, has a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480) Capacitive Touchscreen, Smart Dual-SIM with hot swap, 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 1000mAh battery with 15 hours of talk time.

The REX 80 comes with a smaller 3-inch QVGA (320×240 pixels) display, Smart Dual-SIM support, 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1000mAh battery.

Then there’s the REX 70, which Unlike the REX 80 Lacks Wi-Fi connectivity and rocks a (worse) 2-megapixel camera. It too has Smart Dual-SIM support.

Finally, the REX 60 is an entry-level phone with a 2.8-inch QVGA Resistive Touchscreen, Smart Dual-SIM, 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and 1000 mAh battery.

All four phones also sport Samsung's own TouchWiz UI, Pre-loaded social networking apps, 10 free games from Gameloft and EDGE data.
