OnePlus 5
Original (14 June 2017 - 9:23 AM IST) - In the past couple of years, I have seen many new companies entering into the smartphone business. OnePlus is among those many companies. Some succeeded in getting public attention, whereas some are still struggling. But, the level of growth OnePlus has achieved since the launch of the OnePlus One is unbelievable.

Three years down the road, OnePlus is all geared up to launch its next flagship killer smartphone called the OnePlus 5. If you are wondering where did the OnePlus 4 go, it's the Chinese superstitions to blame. It is said that, in China, 4 is the unluckiest number and it refers to death or disease. Thus, OnePlus is playing safe and has named it's next flagship smartphone the OnePlus 5. Besides that, the OnePlus 5 will actually be company's 5th flagship smartphone after the OnePlus One, Two, 3 and 3T.

OnePlus has officially confirmed the name and has revealed that the company would be globally launching the OnePlus 5 on June 20th. OnePlus India has confirmed that the same will land in India on June 22nd. The event scheduled in India is set to take place at NSCI Dome, Worli, Mumbai.

OnePlus India has also revealed that it has again partnered with Amazon India for selling the OnePlus 5 exclusively in India. The smartphone will go on sale in the country on the same day of India launch at 4:30 PM on Amazon India. While exploring Amazon India's OnePlus 5 launch page, it was confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will house a whopping 8GB of RAM under it.
