After all these years of research and development, the flexible display smartphone might soon become reality. According to South Korean publication DDaily, Samsung will unveil it's first flexible display smartphone this month, as early as next week. The confirmation comes from Samsung's own executive, who revealed this news at a press event.

The name of the smartphone is not yet known, but reports are revealing that Samsung will call this flexible smartphone as Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Active. There are no more details available right now about the smartphone.

The device won't be flexible as internal components like circuit boards and batteries cannot be made bendable, yet. The only difference in this phone will be a unique, non-angle display, which will be unbreakable aka more durable.

This flexible smartphone will be released in limited quantities, as production in high-quantities will likely be a challenge for Samsung, at least in the beginning.
