Recently we have seen the upcoming Xperia Z & Xperia ZL on Sony's Indian Website stating as Coming Soon. We were hearing many rumors & were confused about the launch, so TechDroid visited the Biggest Leading Sony Center. There We had a long chat with the sales person who gave us the Full Information about the arrival of these Smartphones. He Also gave Information about the New Launch from Samsung.
Everyone Already knows about the Sony's Latest Flagship "Xperia Z & Xperia ZL" which they Launched this CES. Personally TechDroid Loved this Smartphone & is eagerly waiting for the arrival.
Xperia Z comes with a 5-inch 1920x1080p OptiContrast Display (443 PPI) with Bravia Engine 2, 1.5GHz Quad-Core Chipset (APQ8064 + MDM9215M) with Adreno 320 Graphics Processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP Exmor RS Rear Camera, 2MP Exmor R Front-Facing Camera NFC, MHL, LTE, 16GB Internal Storage, microSD Memory Card slot and a Water & Dust Resistant (IP55 and IP57) Chassis. Xperia Z has Tempered Glass on the Front and Back. The Handset will Launch in Black, White & Purple Color.
The handset also has an Anti-Shatter film on the Front and Back. The frame of the handset is made from glass fiber polyamide (the same metal substitute used in car parts). Sony Xperia Z will launch with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will get updated to Android 4.2 “After Launch”. The Sony Xperia Z will weigh 146 grams and has dimensions of 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm. In terms of battery, the Xperia Z should come with a 2330mAh Capacity Battery.
On the Other Hand, Xperia ZL has a 5-inch 1920x1080p OptiContrast Display (443 PPI) with Bravia Engine 2, 1.5GHz Quad-Core Chipset (APQ8064 + MDM9215M) with Adreno 320 Graphics, 2GB RAM, 13MP Exmor RS Rear Camera, 2MP Exmor R Front-Facing Camera NFC, MHL, LTE, 16GB internal storage and a microSD Memory Card slot.
Xperia ZL has a dedicated camera button, a front-facing camera on the bottom right of the phone which makes it better for landscape video calls, a plastic textured back as opposed to the glass back on the Xperia Z. It also includes infrared/IrDA functionality so that you can control your TV with your phone. The Xperia ZL also has a smaller bezel on the sides of the phone, so it’s not as tall as the Xperia Z.
The Xperia ZL weighs 151 grams and has dimensions of 131.6 x 69.3 x 9.8 mm. The handset will launch in Black and White Colors. It will launch with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and be upgraded to Android 4.2 after launch.

-> Yes, Xperia Z & Xperia ZL is Launching in India Soon. We have got the Information that it will be Launched in 1st Week of March.
2. What will be the Expected Price of Xperia Z & Xperia ZL?
-> We haven't got Much Information about the Pricing but we have been Informed to Sell the Pre-Orders at a Price of Rs. 40K. Xperia Z is Currently having Pre-Orders at Approx Rs. 40,000, while Xperia ZL on the other-hand is having Pre-Orders at Approx Rs. 42,000.
3. You have Really Started Taking Pre-Orders? What is the Amount of Money we have to Pay for Pre-Ordering the Phone? Also, is their any other Sony Center taking Pre-Orders Currently?
-> Yes, we have started taking the pre-orders of these Smartphones. To pre-order any of these smartphone you have to pay any amount ranging between Rs. 1,000 - Rs. 5,000. Also we are giving discounts on pre-Orders. We are Currently giving discount of Rs.500 to Rs.1,000 on the Devices. Currently only SONY CENTER, THANE & SONY CENTER, DELHI have started taking pre-Orders of these Smartphones.
4. After the Official Announcement, how much time Both Smartphones will take to Launch in Markets?
-> SONY CENTER, THANE & SONY CENTER, DELHI will have the Smartphone Available for sale from the very next day after Launch.
5. Did you have Any Idea about the Launch of Xperia Tablet Z?
-> Yes, we have been Informed that Xperia Tablet Z will also Launch in India in March. There is No More Information about that Device. We are Still Not Sure about the Launch, so its not yet Confirmed.
6. Can you Say me which Smartphone SAMSUNG will Launch Soon?
-> Samsung will Announce the Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini in India Soon.
7. What are the Color Options available for the Buyers to Buy Xperia Z & Xperia ZL?
-> As Published on the Sony India Site, Xperia Z will be Available in WHITE, BLACK & PURPLE Color Models & Xperia ZL will be Available in WHITE & BLACK.
