Exclusive: Micromax Canvas 4 to be priced above Rs. 20K and feature 2GHz Quad-Core CPU, 5.5-inch FHD Screen

Micromax Canvas 4 is the most anticipated device of 2013 in India. The smartphone has recently went up for pre-order for Rs. 5,000 as advance booking money on Official Micromax e-store. The official pricing and specifications are not yet disclosed by Micromax. Which means, you have to book the smartphone without knowing the official price and specs, which is ridiculous. But, Micromax is offering a refund-now option to those users who have pre-booked the smartphone and are not further interested in buying it.

Micromax has also revealed the total pre-booking numbers of Canvas 4. According to Micromax, 4,081 Canvas 4 were booked in the first seven hours yesterday. The company opened the pre-order at 12 noon and had received these orders by 7 PM. This is really commendable, considering the Indian handset vendor has not revealed the final specifications and the price of the phone.

Everyone who have pre-ordered or want to pre-order the smartphone is waiting to know some specification of Canvas 4 with a hint towards the pricing. For that, we have contacted our Micromax insider and the details which he revealed were a bit crazy.

According to our source, Micromax Canvas 4 will be priced between Rs. 20,000-Rs. 25,000, which is not confirmed. He is saying that Micromax can price the Canvas 4 below Rs. 20,000 also, but the majority reveals the pricing to be above Rs. 20K and below Rs. 25K

Our source has also revealed some specifications of the device. As per his report, Canvas 4 will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display rather than 5.0-inch Full HD display as rumoured. The smartphone is also confirmed to run on Quad-Core processor clocked at 2GHz and not 1.2GHz and have 2GB RAM. The handset will have a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, which is confirmed with a 3.2MP front facing camera.

As we got the details from official Micromax insider, we still say you all to take these listings as a pinch of salt. We don't want our readers to know some wrong details and relay on them. So, it's better you wait for 8th July, when Micromax will officially announce the Canvas 4. In addition, the pre-orders which are currently on are only for White version and not the black one. Which means, those who have pre-booked the Canvas 4 will get the white version of Canvas 4 and not the black one which we can see inside the teasers.
