Many manufactures like Apple, Samsung, LG and the search giant Google are already working on SmartWatch, so there is no reason for Sony to be left behind. Sony always launches their product with some innovative feature or hardware before any manufacture, like they are going to do tomorrow by launching the world's first phablet, Sony Xperia ZU, with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU.

Sony already sells one Android powered SmartWatch across the globe. According to CNET, the next-gen Sony SmartWatch will pack some significant feature upgrades over the current model. The New SmartWatch would run on Android and feature Capacitive buttons like in Xperia Smartphones. In addition, the wrist watch will come with bigger display, rather than 1.3-inch as seen on present model.
