The much-awaited Google Nexus 7 II was officially unveiled last night by Google in San Francisco. The new Nexus 7 comes in three variants, 16GB WiFi, 32GB WiFi and 32GB WiFi + LTE. During the launch event, Google promised to launch the new Nexus 7 in several countries, some of them include, UK, Germany, France, Canada, South Korea, India, Spain and Japan, but the dates were not disclosed. Even though they did not announce the launch dates, the New Nexus 7 page is live for several countries including India that reveals that the tablet will be surely launched in India in coming weeks.
The new Nexus 7 is 1.8mm slimmer than the original Nexus 7 and has bezels reduced by 2.75mm. Google has also included the all-new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on the new Nexus 7. The pricing of the tablet is difficult to guess, but in US the 16GB variant is priced at $229, which is approx. Rs 13,500 in India, whereas the 32GB costs $269 in US, Rs 15,800 approx. and the WiFi+4G version at $349, which is Rs 20,500 approx. To remind you all, the 2012 Wi-Fi only Nexus 7 costs Rs 15,999 and 32GB Wi-Fi only model cost Rs 18,999 in India.
