Sony Honami to land as Sony Xperia Z One (Z1), new camera samples and colour scheme leaked (Update)

Sony Honami needs no more introduction, we all know that it will come with 20MP rear shooter and metallic sides, but is Sony going to keep Honami as the final marketing name of the smartphone. According to DooMLoRD (XDA Forum member), who has leaked many Sony ROM's before official launch, tweeted that the Honami will actually be called Z1 (Z One) and not i1. 

This year Sony is focusing more on alphabet 'Z', in it's premium offering, like Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia ZR. So, it's actually possible to see letter 'Z' on Honami official marketing name. Sony Honami is the One Sony strategy device, where every segment of Sony Inc. has worked and not only Sony Mobiles. So, the name Sony Xperia Z One aka Xperia Z1 makes much more sense than Sony i1 Honami.

In related, few more camera samples from Honami have leaked online. These pictures were not taken at 20MP resolution, rather they appear to be taken at 8MP resolution. The pictures were clicked with pre-production firmware, so the actual quality of the image might differ. Leaving all that aside, below is a quick look at all the colour schemes of Sony Xperia Z One.

Update: Steve Hemmerstoffer (@stagueve), editor of NoWhereElse, is also confirming the same leak. Steve has also heard the same story recently. So, it is somewhat clear that Sony Honami will be called Sony Xperia Z1.
