Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Sony Xperia L now rolling-out in India and other parts of the world

Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Sony Xperia L starting today. The Xperia L was originally announced back in March running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and this is the first major update for Xperia L. As of now, the update seems to be currently live in India, Indonesia, Philippines and parts of Europe.

Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Sony Xperia L starting today. The Xperia L was originally announced back in March running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and this is the first major update for Xperia L. As of now, the update seems to be currently live in India, Indonesia, Philippines and parts of Europe.

The update weighs about 700MB and brings new software version which is 15.3.A.0.26. The update is available for download via PC companion, as well as via OTA (over-the-air). As the update is being rolled out in batches, it might take few time to reach on your smartphone.

If you are unable to catch the update, then you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
