While everyone waits for Micromax to launch the Canvas Turbo, another budget Android smartphone from the company is on its way. Dubbed as Micromax Canvas Magnus A117, the smartphone press images has been surfaced on Micromax's own server. The Canvas Magnus is expected to get officially announced in the coming days. The smartphone is now available online in India on Snapdeal for Rs. 14,999, however Flipkart has listed the smartphone as coming soon.
As per Flipkart listing, Micromax Canvas Magnus will come with a 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM, 12MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 4GB internal storage (1GB actual available) with 32GB expandable using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery.
The smartphone is 9mm thick and comes with dual-SIM support (GSM+GSM) with dual standby feature. Connectivity series include 3G (42 Mbps HSDPA), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/A-GPS.
The specifications of Canvas Magnus is similar to Canvas 4, but Magnus comes with upgraded processor and downgraded camera. There is no word on when the smartphone will be launched officially, but it looks like the launch is not so far.
