Intex has officially announced that they have tied-up with MediaTek to launch the India's first smartphone featuring octa-core MT6592 processor. The MediaTek octa-core MT6592 processor was announced back in July, and according to Intex the processor is set to get launched worldwide this week. The MT6592 octa-core chip comes with eight cores, which can work simultaneously for exceptional multi-tasking.
The company has also revealed the specifications of this upcoming smartphone, but the name is not yet enclosed. According to the press release issued by the company, the smartphone will come with a 6-inch HD IPS display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 700MHz Mali450-MP4 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The smartphone will have all metal finish with an exchangeable battery design. It will also pack dual Yamaha 1420 speakers. Other specifications include, 13MP AF rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 3G HSPA+ connectivity and 16GB/32GB internal storage. There is no word on battery life.
The pricing and launch date is not yet disclosed, but the smartphone is expected to get launched officially in coming weeks.
