Samsung W2014 Android powered flip phone officially announced, world's first flip phone to run Snapdragon 800 processor

Samsung has officially announced its new high-end Android powered flip phone. Called as Samsung SCH-W2014, the phone is the world's first flip phone to run on Snapdragon 800 chipset. The W2014 was officially announced at Samsung's and China Mobile's annual "Heart Of The World" charity concert in Nanjing last night. The W2014 is somewhat similar to W2013 and Galaxy Golden, but is the most-powerful dual-screen flip phone in Samsung's line-up.

Samsung has officially announced its new high-end Android powered flip phone. Called as Samsung SCH-W2014, the phone is the world's first flip phone to run on Snapdragon 800 chipset. The W2014 was officially announced at Samsung's and China Mobile's annual "Heart Of The World" charity concert in Nanjing last night. The W2014 is somewhat similar to W2013 and Galaxy Golden, but is the most-powerful dual-screen flip phone in Samsung's line-up.

On the specification front, the W2014 comes with dual 3.7-inch WVGA (800x480p) Super AMOLED display, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The W2014 also comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, 32GB internal storage with microSD card slot, 1,900 mAh battery and dual-SIM support (CDMA+GSM).

There's no launch date or price announced, but expect the W2014 to cost beyond CN¥10,000, which is about US$1,640.
