LG has officially took the wraps off the next-generation Pocket Photo printer today. Sporting model number PD239, the LG Pocket Photo 2 comes with a sleek and stylish design, and is much more lighter, smarter and slimmer. The Pocket Photo 2 is now compatible with not only iOS and Android smartphones but also with Windows Phone 8 operating system and tablets as well.
Features and specifications wise, the Pocket Photo 2 is now just 20mm thick (4mm thinner than original Pocket Photo) and can print images at a resolution of 600 dpi (313 dpi for original printer). The printer operates on non-INK based technology, and uses ink photo paper for printing, similar to the first printer.
LG will showcase the Pocket Photo 2 (PD239) at CES 2014 next month, where the company is expected to reveal its pricing and global roll-out details.
