Micromax is set to launch two new budget Android smartphones in India soon. Dubbed as Micromax Bolt A28 and Bolt A59, the smartphones are found listed on online retailer Flipkart with coming soon tag. The specifications of both the smartphones are almost similar to each other, the difference can be found in processor, Android version and camera.
The Bolt A28 comes in Black colour, whereas the Bolt A59 comes in Grey colour. No word on pricing and availability yet.
Specifications-wise, Micromax Bolt A28 features a 3.5-inch display, 1GHz single-core Cortex A5 processor, Mali 300 GPU, 256MB RAM, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and dual-SIM support with dual standby feature.
The smartphone also comes with a 0.3MP fixed focus rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP front facing camera, 512MB internal storage with 32GB expandable using microSD card and 1,500 mAh battery. Micromax Bolt A28 is 12.5mm thick and comes with 2G connectivity.
On the other hand, Micromax Bolt A59 comes with a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum SC770 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 2MP fixed focus rear camera with LED flash. Rest of the specifications of Bolt A59 is similar to Bolt A28.
It's unclear why Micromax is still releasing phones with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, where its competitors are releasing the same budget phones with Android 4.2.2 pre-installed.
