Gionee has slyly positioned itself as a premium manufacturer of smartphones in the country and its Elife E5, E6 and E7 have been doing pretty well in the country. Now it is starting to expand its portfolio and has officially launched two smartphones in the country, Gionee M2 and GPad G4. According to Gionee, both the smartphones will soon be available across the country.
The Gionee GPad G4 comes with a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with OGS (One Glass Solution) technology. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and you get a 1GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 16GB which will not be available for expansion. Under the hood is a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor which teams up with a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU.
At the back is a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash which has BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording ability. You also get a 5MP front-facing camera. For connectivity there is 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS/A-GPS. It gets juice from a 3200 mAh battery. The Gionee GPad G4 comes in Graphite Black and Silver metallic colors and is priced at Rs. 18,999.
Joining the same is the Gionee M2 which features a 5-inch capacitive display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and derives its processing power from a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor coupled with Mali-400 GPU. You get a 1GB RAM for multitasking and an internal storage capacity of 4GB which will be available for expansion via a microSD card by another 32GB.
At the back is an 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash which is joined in by a 2MP front-facing camera. You get 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS for connectivity. The best part about the same is the 4,200 mAh battery it comes with which offers up to 555 hours standby and up to 24 hrs (3G) / 31.5 hrs (2G) talk time. It has been priced at Rs. 10,999 and comes in black and white colors.
