Oppo, earlier today, has silently launched a new mid-range Android smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as Oppo R1, the smartphone was originally announced back in December 2013 in China and comes with decent set of specifications. The Oppo R1 comes in black and white colours and is priced at Rs. 26,990, which is way too much for a smartphone with MediaTek processor.
On the specifications front, Oppo R1 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with ColorOS on top. The smartphone is 7.1mm thick and weights 140 grams and has dual-SIM support.
Other specifications include a 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage and 2,410 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
In related to the news, Oppo has reduced the price of Oppo N1 in India. The smartphone was originally launched in India back in January for Rs. 39,999, and is now retailing for Rs. 37,990, which is still not worth the price.
