HTC One (M8) Dual SIM with 5-inch display, Duo camera, Android 4.4 KitKat officially announced
HTC earlier today has officially announced the dual-SIM variant of its this year flagship smartphone, the HTC One (M8). Easily dubbed as HTC One (M8) Dual SIM, the smartphone comes with two SIM card slots, rest everything remains similar to the original M8. According to HTC, the dual-SIM M8 will be available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland starting next week.
The smartphone comes in Gunmetal Grey colour option and will retail in Germany and Austria for 799 Euros (approx Rs. 64,720), whereas the same will cost 679 Swiss Franc (approx Rs. 45,320) in Switzerland. Also, the One (M8) Dual SIM will be available in Germany from Media Markt and Saturn, while in Austria and Switzerland the smartphone will be available from various major retailers.
There is no word on whether HTC plans to the dual-SIM variant of HTC M8 in other countries, though we could expect an India launch soon, since dual-SIM smartphones are quite popular in the country.
On the specifications front, the One (M8) Dual SIM comes with a 5-inch Full HD Super LCD 3 display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, Duo Camera with dual-LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with upto 128GB supported microSD card slot and 2,600 mAh battery.
Connectivity series include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 3G HSPA+, DLNA, MHL, GPS with GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and HTC Connect. It supports IR remote control for TV use too.
