Android Wear powered Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch now available in India for Rs. 15,900 and Rs. 14,999

This year's Google I/O 2014 keynote brought loads of stuffs including the L version of Android along with Android Auto, Android TV and Android Wear platforms. Samsung announced its first Android Wear powered smartwatch, the Gear Live at I/O 2014 and was listed as "Coming Soon" on Google Play last week. Now, the same is available for purchase in India from Play Store for Rs. 15,900, with shipping starts in two - three weeks.

Not only the Gear Live, but LG's G Watch, which was up for pre-order last week is also available from Google Play for Rs. 14,999. The shipping of G Watch will start by July 8th.

Talking about the specifications, Samsung Gear Live comes with a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 320 x 320 pixels, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM, Android Wear and heart rate sensor. It also comes with IP67 certification, 4GB internal storage, 300mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.0 LE support. The smartwatch measures 37.9 x 56.4 x 8.9 mm and weights 59 grams. Sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass and Heart Rate.

LG G Watch

On the other hand, LG G Watch comes with a 1.65-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 280 x 280 pixels, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM and Android 4.4W (Wear) KitKat. The smartwatch measures 37.9 x 46.5 x 9.95 mm and weights 63 grams. The G Watch also comes with 4GB internal storage, 400mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.0 LE support along with IP67 certification which makes it Water and Dust resistant. Sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
