Sony is planning to launch a new mid-range Android smartphone in the Indian market soon. According to 91Mobiles, Sony will be launching the newly announced Xperia T3 in India in the last week of July, mostly around July 28th. The company started the global roll-out of Xperia T3 in July-end, which means India is one of the few countries to get the T3 soon.
The report revealed that Sony will be giving away free SmartBand fitness tracker with the phone at the launch. The Xperia T3 uses a stainless steel frame and comes in Black, White and Purple colour options. No word on pricing and availability details yet, though the smartphone is expected to be priced at around Rs. 22,000.
Talking about the specifications, Sony Xperia T3 comes with a 5.3-inch HD IPS TRILUMINOS display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Xperia T3 is just 7mm thick and weights 148 grams.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and Exmor RS sensor, 1.1MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with expandable up to 32GB using microSD card and 2,500 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS, ANT+ and NFC support.
