Going by this report, LG is prepping to release its next generation smartwatch in September and like its predecessor this one will also run on the Android Wear platform. Number of LG Group divisions, which include LG Display, LG Innok and LG Chem are working together for this smartwatch.

In addition, the G Watch 2 (final branding yet unknown) is speculated to arrive with an OLED display rather than a IPS LCD display, no word on whether it will have four corners or none. Also, it is said to include a Qualcomm processor, while there are rumors suggesting the use of LG’s Odin processors in future.

As per a LG official, the firm is approached by many authoritative watchmakers for strategic partnership and LG may show the watch to clients at the tech show next month in order to work on those collaborations.

Apart from these aspects, the LG G Watch 2 remains a mystery and we will get to see more details regarding the same only when it is announced at the IFA.
