Samsung took a step forward and on Thursday officially took the wraps off its first rugged Galaxy tablet called the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active. The Galaxy Tab Active is Samsung's first water and dust resistant tablet. The Galaxy Tab Active comes in Titanium Green colour with Protective cover and C-Pen. There is no word on pricing or availability details yet.

As expected, HTC has officially took the wraps off the HTC Desire 820, the successor of Desire 816 at the IFA 2014 tradeshow last week. The smartphone is the company's first phone to come with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The Desire 820 comes in range of colours including Marble White, Tuxedo Grey (matte), Santorini White, Milky-way Grey, Tangerine White, Saffron Grey, Flamingo Grey, Blue Mist and Monarch Orange.

Sony has been in full swing at the IFA 2014 tech show happening in Berlin as the vendor took the wraps off a slew of offerings. Besides launching the highly anticipated Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Xperia E3 along with SmartWatch 3, the Japanese vendor announced two QX Cyber-Shot lens style cameras as well.

At the UNPACKED Episode 2 event in Berlin, Samsung not only launched two phablets, the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge, but it also took the wraps of its first ever VR headset. The device dubbed Samsung Gear VR was unveiled at the event on Wednesday. To launch this device, Samsung partnered with Oculus, a firm behind the Oculus Rift headset and the hardware is from Samsung, while the technical and software aspects are contributed by Oculus.

Taiwanese tech vendor Asus has been teasing its first Android Wear smartwatch dubbed as Asus ZenWatch for quite sometime and on Wednesday at the IFA 2014 tradeshow in Berlin the firm has officially debuted the device. Alongside the Android Wear powered ZenWatch, Asus has also launched the MeMO Pad 7 tablet.

Other than the highly anticipated announcements such as Xperia Z3, the firm has also taken the wraps off two wrist options in an attempt to grace the smartwatch market. Along with Sony Xperia Z3 series, the Japanese tech giant also unveiled a new mid-range Android smartphone dubbed as Sony Xperia E3 at the IFA 2014 event on Wednesday. The smartphone as said comes with mid-range specs and has 4G LTE connectivity too. Sony Xperia E3 comes in two version, single SIM and dual SIM, and would be available globally starting Autumn 2014 in white, black, lime and copper colours.

Sony at IFA 2014 has officially took the wraps off the Xperia Z3 series of devices. The series include Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. According to Sony, the Xperia Z3 comes in white, black, copper and silver green colours, with Z3 Compact in white, black, orange and green colours and lastly the Z3 Tablet Compact in white and black colours.

South Korean tech titan Samsung has officially took the wraps off the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at Samsung Unpacked Episode 2 event in Berlin. Along with the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has also debuted the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge with curved Edged screen. The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in Charcoal Black, Frost White, Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink colours in global markets starting October, whereas the Galaxy Note Edge will be available in Charcoal Black and Frost White colours in select markets later this year.

Samsung is about to take the wraps off the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 4 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in less than 10 mins and before the event goes on air few press images of the same has been leaked online. Motorola has planned to host an event on September 5 in India and it is evident that the firm will be launching those devices that will be announced at the September 4 event in Chicago in the country. In the meantime, one of the highly anticipated smartphones from the manufacturer – the sequel to the Moto G has been spotted in the import data tracking site Zauba by PriceBaba. As per these details, Motorola has imported over 70,000 units of the handset codenamed Moto XT1068 to India tipping the immediate availability of the device.

Last week, Taiwanese tech tycoon Asus posted a teaser image of its upcoming Android Wear smartwatch slated to be launched at the IFA 2014 tech show next week. Now, the firm has released a teaser video of the device, which reveals that the watch will be called as Asus ZenWatch. The teaser reveals that the first smartwatch from Asus will feature stainless steel frame and gorgeous curves.

After teasing it couple of days ago, LG today officially took the wraps off the what is said to be the world’s first smartwatch to feature a full circular Plastic OLED display and utilize 100 percent of its watch face, called the LG G Watch R. Similar to LG G Watch, the G Watch R runs on the Android Wear platform and will be showcased at the company's booth at the IFA 2014 event next month.

Earlier this year, LG announced the LG G Watch as its first Android Wear based smartwatch. Within months after the launch of the G Watch, there were speculations that the firm will be coming up with the second generation model with a round dial to compete with Moto 360. This new smartwatch that has been making rounds in the tech news for quite sometime is the LG G Watch R and it is all set to be launched at the IFA 2014 in Berlin.

LG has silently introduced two new mid-range L-series Android smartphones globally. Dubbed as LG L Bello and LG L Fino, the smartphones will be showcased later next month at the IFA 2014 tradeshow. According to LG, the roll out of L Fino and L Bello will begin in key 3G markets in Latin America first, followed by in Europe, Asia, and CIS.

While it has been only a short while since the LG G Watch went on sale and so soon the South Korean tech firm appears to be gearing up to unleash the next generation smartwatch. According to a report by Korea Times, the LG G Watch 2 will be a serious game changer wearable device that will be shown off at the upcoming IFA 2014 tech show slated to happen between September 5th and September 10th in Berlin.
