Lately, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 was spotted on a benchmarking website following which the device has paved a visit to the Chinese regulatory website TENAA. The latter has revealed the very first images of the handset besides confirming its previously leaked specifications. Along with the Mega 2 images, an unknown Samsung smartphone has been spotted on GFXBench website.
According to TENAA, the next generation Galaxy Mega phablet will be 8.6mm thick and weigh in at 194 grams. Also, it is listed to flaunt a 5.98-inch HD display and is likely to include a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. The listing suggests that there will be a 13MP primary snapper onboard with a 5MP front-facer, 8GB internal storage with microSD card support and LTE connectivity.
As of now, there is no clue on when the Galaxy Mega 2 speculated to run on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system will be launched. However, it is expected to be priced between $400 and $500. Samsung could debut the Galaxy Mega 2 at the IFA 2014 tradeshow on September 3rd.
In another report, a new large screen Samsung smartphone carrying the model number SM-G739F is found listed on GFXBench website. The listing reveals that the handset sports a 5.5-inch HD display and will be powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5GB RAM.
The SM-G739F is also claimed to include 16GB of internal storage space and run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat platform. For imaging, the SM-G739F is likely to pack an 8MP camera on its back and a 2MP front-facing module for selfies and video conferencing. No word on pricing or availability details yet.
