Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge with curved display officially announced

South Korean tech titan Samsung has officially took the wraps off the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at Samsung Unpacked Episode 2 event in Berlin. Along with the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has also debuted the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge with curved Edged screen. The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in Charcoal Black, Frost White, Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink colours in global markets starting October, whereas the Galaxy Note Edge will be available in Charcoal Black and Frost White colours in select markets later this year.

As expected, the Galaxy Note 4 comes with monstrous specifications along with loads of software features. According to Samsung, Note 4 comes with most refined Multi Window feature. Users can choose how they access their applications with full, split or pop-up screens, and easily change the size and positioning of apps on the screen with one intuitive swipe.

The smartphone also comes with the fast charging feature, which promises to charge the phone from 0 to 50% in just 30 mins. The Note 4 also comes equipped with multiple microphones and an improved speaker phone for better noise cancellation when speaking in loud environments.

The Galaxy Note 4 also offers an improved Fingerprint Scanner and the world’s first UV sensor in a mobile device. There's also improved S-Pen, which introduces a more user-friendly Air Command functionality along with other intuitive features such as Action Memo, Screen Write, Image Clip and Smart Select feature enables users to easily piece together content from different origins, and share it with ease.

Coming to Samsung Galaxy Edge, the smartphone has similar Galaxy Note 4-like features and with the unique curved Edge screen users can quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality – even when the cover is closed – all with the swipe of a thumb. Users can also receive notifications directly on the Edge Screen while watching videos without disturbing their viewing.

On the specifications front, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor or 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos 5433 processor (depending on the region), 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The smartphone is 8.5mm thick and weights 176 grams. 

Other specifications include an 16MP rear camera with Smart OIS, 3.7MP front facing shooter with Selfie and Wide Selfie feature, 32GB internal storage with upto 64GB expandable using microSD card and 3,220 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE Cat 4 or Cat 6 / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO PCle, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE ANT+, NFC, IR LED, USB 2.0, MHL 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge comes with a 5.6-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The smartphone is 8.3mm thick and weights 174 grams. 

Other specifications include an 16MP rear camera with Smart OIS, 3.7MP front facing shooter with Selfie and Wide Selfie feature, 32GB / 64GB internal storage with expandable upto 64GB using microSD card and 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE Cat 4 or Cat 6 / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO PCle, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE ANT+, NFC, IR LED, USB 2.0, MHL 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS.
