Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 spotted on TENAA revealing specifications and images
Samsung announced that it will be cutting down some models from its smartphone lineup as it suffers from financial decline. But, the vendor appears not to alter its plans for the popular smartphones series as it appears to be prepping the next generation Galaxy Grand device that will be launched in 2015. The handset has been spotted on the Chinese regulatory database TENAA showing off its specifications.
Likewise its predecessor, Galaxy Grand 2, this one also seems to have moderate specifications that are not too high end. However, the Galaxy Grand lineup is known for its affordable pricing and not specifications. As per the listing, the Galaxy Grand 3 will incorporate a 5.25-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and equip a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM.
The listing also reveals that the Grand 3 will make use of a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front facing selfie camera as well. Also, the device is claimed to arrive with 16GB of native storage capacity that can be extended further. Of course, the handset will be based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and arrive in multiple colored variants.
It appears like the Galaxy Grand 3 is relatively thinner and lighter than its predecessor as it measures 146 x 74.8 x 7.95 mm and weighs in at 140 grams. On the other hand, the Grand 2 carries a dimension of 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm and a weight of 163 grams.
It remains unknown when Samsung will be announcing the Galaxy Grand 3 or what its pricing will be. We need to wait until there is an official word from the South Korean tech giant regarding the device.
