Samsung Galaxy A7 and Galaxy Grand Max specifications hit the web

The South Korean tech giant has been surfacing in rumors and speculations regarding the Galaxy A7 smartphone for almost months. For some reason, Samsung has not unveiled the high end smartphone that will complement the existing members of the Galaxy A-series – the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5.

Now again, the Galaxy A7 got leaked earlier this week via a leaked catalogue for South Korea providing the specifications of the smartphone. Interestingly, the handset got leaked alongside the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Grand Max.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Max is cheaper than the Galaxy A7 considering the specifications and also resembles the Galaxy Grand 2 in terms of design. 

When it comes to the specifications, the Galaxy A7 is claimed to flaunt a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display and employ a 1.5GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM. For imaging, the device is said to boast of a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front facer.

Other aspects as revealed by the catalogue listing include Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 16GB internal storage, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+,  VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, DMB and a 2,500 mAh battery. The Galaxy A7 will just be 6.3mm thick and weight 140 grams.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Grand Max is likely to come fitted with a 5.2-inch HD TFT LCD display with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and run on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The Grand Max boast of similar imaging hardware as the Galaxy A7.

The other goodies onboard the Galaxy Grand Max are said to include 16GB of storage capacity with support for additional storage, LTE connectivity, DMB and a 2,500 mAh battery. The Galaxy Grand Max will be 7.9mm thick and weight 161 grams.

When it comes to the availability, it is speculated that the Galaxy A7 will be officially announced later this month on January 14 and released alongside the Galaxy A5. There is no word on when the Galaxy Grand Max will be announced.
