As we have entered the second half of this year, the rumors regarding the Nexus smartphones that will be launched by Google have started popping up online. There are reports suggesting that Google has ditched the Nexus tablet lineup and that it will come up with two Nexus smartphones that will be made by Huawei and LG.

While we have already heard several rumors about the Huawei made Google Nexus smartphone, the latest one claims to have some details about the LG made smartphone. It denies rumors that the next LG made Nexus smartphone, possibly called Nexus 5 (2015), will be inspired by the LG G4, the vendor’s current flagship model.

The report citing anonymous sources suggests that the upcoming Nexus smartphone will be built from scratch with notable upgrades unlike the previous LG made Nexus smartphones that resembled the flagship smartphones to a great extent. It further states that in comparison to the Nexus 6, the LG Nexus to be launched this year will be smaller and cheaper.

Going by the previous reports, the LG made smartphone could be internally codenamed Angler and it will arrive with a 5.2-inch display. The device is said to feature a Snapdragon 810 chipset and a fingerprint scanner as well on-board. The manufacturer seems to be testing a 3D assembly module for the 2015 Nexus smartphone camera. This camera setup is likely to be highlight of the device as in the LG Optimus 3D.

Of course, Google will release the upcoming Nexus smartphone with the Android M build sometime later this year. So, stay tuned for more updates on Nexus 5 (2015).
