There are plethora of leaks regarding the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Mi 5 Plus making rounds in the online world lately. The Chinese social network Weibo has now revealed new details about these devices shedding light on all the aspects including their price and specifications.
As per the latest leak, the Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship smartphone will boast of a 5.2-inch Quad HD LCD display and will be equipped with a Snapdragon 810 SoC and 3GB of RAM. This is in contrast with an earlier leak suggesting that the Mi 5 will make use of the yet to be announced Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB RAM.
On the imaging front, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is likely to employ a 16MP main snapper and a 13MP front facing selfie shooter. The device is said to run the new MIUI 7 presumably based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is claimed to be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery that is touted to feature fast charging capability that can charge the smartphone up to 30 percent in just five minutes.
Further, the device is said to be available in 16GB and 64GB variants and feature a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.
Talking of the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus, the report claims that the device will have a full metal body and a large display measuring 5.7-inches with Quad HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is suggested to feature a Snapdragon 820 SoC and a fingerprint scanner onboard.
The imaging aspects of the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus are likely to include a 23MP primary camera and a 12MP front facer. The device is said to be energized by a 3,500 mAh battery that is claimed to be accompanied by fast charging that will charge it completely in just 50 minutes.
When it comes to the pricing, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is claimed to be priced starting from 2,399 Yuan and the Mi 5 Plus will carry a price tag starting from 3,000 Yuan. Both the smartphones are speculated to have a bezel-less display and are likely to go official in November.
