Moto X Style isn't the only Motorola flagship smartphone the company has announced earlier today. Motorola has also announced a Maxx version of the X Style that's more affordable and comes with smaller display and bigger battery, called as Moto X Play. According to Motorola, the Moto X Play will be available starting August.

Launch details for Asia Pacific region, including more on China and India will be revealed later this year. There is no word on pricing details yet.
Moto X Play is smaller than Moto X Style, but thicker because of huge 3,630 mAh battery, that promises up to 48 hours of battery life. Like the Moto X Style, the X Play also come with TurboPower 25 charger for super fast charging, 10 hours of usage in just 15 minutes of charging.

The rear of the X Play has textured plastic with metal sides and accents. The Moto X Play also comes with water resistant coating and front facing speaker with Smartboost. The smartphone also supports Moto Shells and Moto Maker customization.
When it comes to specifications, Moto X Play comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The smartphone measures 148 x 75 x 8.9 - 10.9 mm and weights 169 grams.
Other specifications include an 21MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, an 5MP front-facing camera and 16GB or 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and NFC.
