Samsung has officially announced two new mid-range Android smartphones in the Indian market recently. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, the smartphones are company's latest selfie-focused smartphones with front-facing flash. Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 comes in black, white and gold color options and are priced in India at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 14,999 respectively.
According to Samsung, the smartphones are exclusively available from Flipkart. Both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are available for pre-order on Flipkart. As per Flipkart, both the devices will be released in the country in the first week of August.
As an introductory offer, these smartphones come with Airtel’s Wynk music subscription worth Rs. 594 for 6 months, double the data for Airtel customers on 4G for 6 months, Rs. 3,200 worth in-app purchase credit from Gameloft and flat 40% off on Samsung Flip Cover worth Rs. 999 for these smartphone.
On the specifications front, Samsung Galaxy J5 comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 1.5GB RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The smartphone measures 142.1 x 71.8 x 7.9 mm and weights 146 grams.
Other specifications include a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture, 5MP front-facing 120-degree wide-angle lens camera with LED flash, 8GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB using microSD card and 2,600mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7580 processor, 1.5GB RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The smartphone measures 152.5 x 78.7 x 7.5 mm and weights 171 grams.
Other specifications include a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture, 5MP front-facing 120-degree wide-angle lens camera with LED flash, 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB using microSD card and 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support.
