Following the same, the Redmi Note 4X was found listed on Chinese certification regulatory authority TENAA website lately. The images leaked by TENAA reveal that the upcoming device looks familiar to its predecessor with metal build and fingerprint scanner beneath the camera module.
Major difference between the Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi Note 4X is visible when it comes to specifications. According to TENAA website, the new Redmi Note smartphone will come with upgraded processor, and extra RAM and storage capacity.
The device is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Rest of the specifications are exactly similar to what is found on the Redmi Note 4.
TENAA suggests that the Redmi Note 4X will come in different variants including 2GB RAM, 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM along with different storage options which include 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of space with expandable memory using microSD card.
Other specifications include a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top, a 13MP rear camera with a 5MP front facing camera and 4000mAh battery.
The device leaked has fingerprint scanner position rearranged to the front. The device hosts a metal build and has rear camera along with antenna bands on the back with a home button on front, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. There is no word on authenticity of the image leaked, so we request you to take this image with a pinch of salt.
The Redmi Note 4X is rumoured to be priced at around 1299 Yuan, which translates roughly to US$188 or say Rs. 12,800. No word on when the device will be made official. Stay tuned with us to know more about upcoming Xiaomi launches.
