In its press release announcing Q4 and full-year 2012 financial results, LG said that it’s planning follow-up devices to Optimus G and the L-series as well as the new F-series. Hear that, F-series – that’s something new and we’re not sure what they’re talking about.
Back to LG’s results. The company has sold a total of 15.4 million mobile phones worldwide in Q4 2012, 8.6 million of which were (Android) smartphones, generating a revenue of $2.58 billion. The figure represents a notable (23%) growth over the third quarter when LG managed to move “just” 7 million smartphones.
