HTC One Max with fingerprint scanner to be officially announced by HTC on 15th Oct

HTC has started sending out press invites to the China tech press media for attending the press event on 15th Oct. HTC China is going to unveil the highly rumoured and leaked HTC One Max on that day. HTC One Max is the company's first 5"+ smartphone, and they don't want it to be like normal phablets available in the market today. So, HTC has included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone.

HTC has started sending out press invites to the China tech press media for attending the press event on 15th Oct. HTC China is going to unveil the highly rumoured and leaked HTC One Max on that day. HTC One Max is the company's first 5"+ smartphone, and they don't want it to be like normal phablets available in the market today. So, HTC has included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone.

The launch date matches the previous rumours. HTC will be unveiling the One Max first in China, then in Hong Kong the next day, followed by Taiwan on 18th Oct. The press invite reads the following:

The first line refers clearly towards the fingerprint scanner, and the second line points towards the Beats Audio and the front-facing HTC BoomSound speakers.

HTC One Max is expected to arrive with 5.7/5.9-inch Full HD Super LCD 3 display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, 16GB internal storage, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 3,300 mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, 4MP Ultrapixel rear camera along with 2.1MP front facing camera, NFC support, WLAN, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
