HTC Desire 501, Desire 601 dual-SIM and Desire 700 dual-SIM officially announced in Taiwan

HTC has officially announced three new Desire series smartphones in Taiwan today. Dubbed as HTC Desire 501, Desire 601 dual-SIM and Desire 700 dual-SIM, the smartphones comes with low and mid-range specs. There is no word on global launch of these smartphones, but we expect HTC to launch all the three phones in India soon, probably next month.

HTC has officially announced three new Desire series smartphones in Taiwan today. Dubbed as HTC Desire 501, Desire 601 dual-SIM and Desire 700 dual-SIM, the smartphones comes with low and mid-range specs. There is no word on global launch of these smartphones, but we expect HTC to launch all the three phones in India soon, probably next month.

HTC Desire 501

The HTC Desire 501 is a budget Android smartphone from HTC. It comes in three colours Pink, White and Black, and will be available in Taiwan on Chunghwa Telecom in the coming days for NT$9,999 ($334).

Specifications-wise, HTC Desire 501 comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.15GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and Android OS (version unknown, mostly 4.1) with Sense UI (probably Sense 4.0, as per press image).

The smartphone also comes with 8MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, 2.1MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with 32GB microSD card expansion and 2,100 mAh battery. Desire 501 is 9.8mm thick and weighs 130 grams.

Coming to HTC Desire 601, the smartphone is the dual-SIM version of already announced Desire 601. The Desire 601 dual-SIM is priced at NT$10,900 ($370). 

Specifications-wise, HTC Desire 601 dual-SIM comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, Android OS with HTC Sense 5.0 (might be 4.2) and dual micro-SIM card slot. The Desire 601 dual-SIM is 9.88mm thick and weighs 130 grams.

The smartphone also comes with 5MP AF rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with 64GB expandable using microSD card and 2,100 mAh battery. The Desire 601 also comes with dual front stereo speakers with built-in amplifier.

HTC Desire 700

Last but not the least is the HTC Desire 700 dual-SIM. The Desire 700 is a affordable version of the HTC One. The smartphone poses similar design like HTC One, but with all plastic body, rather than aluminium as in One.

The Desire 700 is priced at NT$13,900 ($470) and will be available from Chunghwa Telecom starting next month. On the specification front, the Desire 700 comes with a 5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.2 with Sense 5.0 UI.

The smartphone is 10.3mm thick and weighs 149 grams. Other specifications include dual micro-SIM slot (3G+2G), 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with expandable up to 64GB using microSD card and 2,100 mAh battery. Desire 700 dual-SIM also comes with dual front stereo speakers with built-in amplifier.
