As promised, HTC has officially started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the unlocked HTC One in several European countries starting today. HTC said it will deliver Android 4.4 KitKat to European HTC One's by the end of January, and it seems the manufacturer is about to make good on its promise. The update is rolling out via over-the-air.

The update is 308.24 MB in size and brings new software version 4.19.401.8 along with few changes. As per the image, the update contains important enhancements and bug fixes, including:
  • Android 4.4.2 update
  • Security enhancements
  • Cloud Print Service
  • and New Bluetooth profiles to support more media interactions
The update also removes support for Adobe Flash Player in the stock HTC web browser. Also, the battery icon is now white-on-white, like stock KitKat, rather than coloured as it was on Jelly Bean.

The update is expected to reach other parts of Europe and Asia in the coming days. In related, HTC is reported to start rolling out the KitKat update for HTC One Max and One Mini before the end of Q1 2014.
