HTC is working pretty hard on the successor of the HTC One which is due for a launch next year and the smartphone has just been leaked in live images. The leaked images suggest that the smartphone is in some sort of a bumper case but they do confirm the previously leaked images and its design is now all but confirmed.
The smartphone will be launched on March 25th at an event in New York and is expected to come with a 5-inch display with a Full HD resolution. It will get a Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood whose clock speed is yet unknown, probably 2.5 GHz similar to Galaxy S5. It will be teamed up with a 2GB RAM and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0 on top of it.
The front camera will be a 4MP unit as per the latest leak instead of the previous rumour of 5MP. The rear camera's details are not known but the same is expected to come with two sensors with one being a low-light unit and the other one being for proper lighting. It is also going to be thinner and taller than the predecessor.
HTC has also released a new video for the New HTC One which is a pretty funny one. It begins by boasting about the sound quality of HTC devices and then the characters in the teaser bring out a blurred phone. Then when they talk about the device’s capabilities, their voices are censored, thus not revealing the handset’s technical specifications.
HTC will be hoping that the successor of the HTC One turns around its fortunes and helps the company take on the likes of the Galaxy S5, Xperia Z2 and the next generation of the iPhone. 25th of March isn't very far away and we’ll know all about the device then.
In related to the news, prolific leaker @evleaks has leaked a new press shot of The All New HTC One with AT&T branding. The image does not reveal anything other than on-screen buttons, more rounded corners and dual-cameras with dual-LED flash, which we've already seen in other leaked press images.
