LG begins the global roll-out of LG G Pro 2 with Asian market

LG had taken the wraps off the G Pro 2 in February and the same was followed by the device going on sale in Korea. LG had announced that the rest of the world will be getting the device later on and the global rollout of the smartphone has started as per the company's promise to do. The phone is now available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam and Indonesia.

LG had announced that the rest of the world will be getting the device later on and the global rollout of the smartphone has started as per the company's promise to do. The phone is now available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam and Indonesia.

It was showcased in India as well at the LG Tech Show 2014 event earlier this month, but there is still no sign of the launch of the device in the country. If LG India tweets are guessed correct, then the company will launch the G Pro 2 in India today i.e. on March 21st, 2014.

The LG G Pro 2 comes with a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2 % and 3.3mm bezel. Under the hood is a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with an Adreno 330 GPU.

It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has 3GB RAM doing duty in the processing department. At the back is a 13MP camera with LED flash, OIS+, 4K Ultra HD video recording and it gets a 2.1MP camera up front. Internal storage capacities stand 16GB and 32GB with an option to expand the memory using microSD card. You get LTE / HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and NFC to help you remain connected at all times.

Battery unit is a 3,200 mAh one and it comes in Titan, White and Red colour schemes. You also get high-power 1W Hi-Fi sound, Knock ON with Knock Code and a slew of other software goodies. It will lock horns with the Note 3 and will get a price tag of a shade under Rs. 50,000. Let us see how the Indians receive the device.
