Sony has officially launched two new budget Android smartphones in India today. Dubbed as Sony Xperia E1, the smartphone is the successor of last year announced Xperia E. Along with Xperia E1, Sony has also launched the dual-SIM variant of the smartphone in India, dubbed as Xperia E1 Dual. Both the smartphones were originally announced in January, along with Xperia T2 Ultra.
Sony Xperia E1 has been priced at Rs. 9,490, whereas the Xperia E1 Dual costs Rs. 10,490. According to Sony, Xperia E1 Dual will be the first smartphone to go on sale starting from March 10th, followed by Xperia E1 from March 25th. Both the phones comes in three colours options: white, black and purple.
Sony Xperia E1 comes with 100Db speaker to produce a louder, cleaner sound that can hold its own in any environment, even a motorcycle won't interrupt your music. The smartphone also comes with a dedicated Walkman button, which when long pressed automatically turns on the music.
Specifications-wise, Sony Xperia E1 comes with a 4-inch WVGA TFT display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8210 processor, Adreno 302 GPU, 512MB RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone is 12mm thick and weighs 120 grams.
Other specifications include 3MP rear camera, 4GB internal storage with upto 32GB expandable using microSD card and 1,700 mAh battery. The Xperia E1 Dual on the other hand comes with dual-SIM support, rest all specs remains the same as single-SIM version.
