Update: @evleaks has leaked one more image of the flip cover case, which reveals three new colours: Blue, Red and Green. Also, MobileSyrup has got their hands-on a press shot of HTC One (2014) for Telus.
HTC is readying itself up for the launch of the successor of the HTC One which will hit the launch pad on the 25th of March at an even in New York. But as has been the case in recent times, flagship devices usually go on sale way after they are showcased but HTC plans on jumping the gun in this regard.
In related to the news, prolific leaker @evleaks has shared a new image of HTC One (2014) on Twitter. The image reveals the device wearing a unique flip cover case.
Talking about the sales first, HTC will make the new One available as soon as in the first week of April which will be before the Galaxy S5 goes on sale. A point worth mentioning is the fact that the Galaxy S5 was showcased in February and Samsung will be undertaking marketing efforts in full swing to create hype around the device before it goes on sale.
According to the latest reports, HTC One (2014) will go on sale in 110 countries around the world in two weeks after it gets showcased. And the news comes from the same twitter handle which was responsible for leaking the first pictures of the smartphone. HTC itself teased the gadget a lot of times and has showcased that it will come with an amazing audio quality, will get a dual camera at the rear and will have a metal body as well.
Coming to @evleaks leak, the image above reveals the unique flip cover case HTC will be unveiling earlier this month. The cover has holes in its front half, with some holes displaying relevant information such as the time and the weather while closed. This is the second official case of HTC M8 to leak out, first one was a rugged case (on the right).
There is no word on how much this unique cover might cost, but definitely it won't be cheap at all. Alongside the image, @evleaks claims that there will be a Google Play Edition of the HTC M8. Last year original HTC One got the Google Play Edition treatment, so it won't be surprising to see the New One follow the same route.
The All New HTC One is expected to be powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 unit which will be clocked at 2.3GHz/2.5GHz and the same will team up with a 2GB/3GB RAM. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat and will get Sense 6.0 on top of it.
The next generation of the device is all set for a launch and it will go on sale earlier than the competition. This might give HTC a head start and gain an advantage over the chief competitor, Samsung Galaxy S5.
