It has become a trend for the smartphone vendors to unleash successors of their previous flagship models and usually Apple and Samsung are the ones that predominantly appear in the rumor storm for such instances. Following these tech titans, Taiwan based HTC also seems to be going by the same lines as it is heavily gossiped for prepping the second iteration of HTC One.

Verizon HTC One 2014

Also known as HTC M8, the second generation HTC One has been making rounds across the tech world since sometime and there are a series of leaks and rumors from different sources suggesting the existence of the phone. Now, there is an interesting information found online as the HTC One 2014 has been spotted for sale (ended already) on eBay.

Well, the 32GB variant of the handset with Verizon branding has popped up for sale on the e-commerce portal with a price tag of $499.99 (approx. Rs 30,585). The listing does possess few packaging photos of the phone, which cements the previous rumours.

Besides the appearance of the HTC One 2014 on eBay, the cases meant for the high-end smartphone designed by the popular case manufacturer Spigen have also got leaked. The Spigen website has revealed a photo of the front and back of the All New HTC One wearing a case which is specially designed as per the positions of the dual cameras and dual LED flash.

While there is no official word on what the handset will come packed with, there are rumors suggesting its detailed specifications revealed by a sales guide. Apparently, the HTC One 2014 is said to gauge 146.36 x 70.6 x 9.35 mm and to remain slightly thicker than its fierce competitors with a weight of 160 grams.

Furthermore, there are speculations that the device will come fitted with a 5 inch Full HD display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution and be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz speed. As for the memory capacity is concerned, there are traces that there could be 16GB of onboard storage of which 10GB is user accessible, but that can be expandable with the help of a micro SD card slot, which is a major improvement from the previous model. HTC is rumored to sell the phone in three variants – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

While there is no word about the camera resolution or capabilities, it is believed that the handset could house the same 4MP Ultrapixel camera sensor as in the yesteryear model. At the same time, the sales guide suggests that while the camera supports 1080p video capture, the 4K recording will be dropped this time. It is also mentioned that there will be a 5 MP front-facer with several enhancements.

If you are unaware, HTC will be officially debuting the All New HTC One on March 25th at an event in New York City.
