Nokia X price dropped in India by Rs. 1,572, now available for just Rs. 7,027
Nokia's first ever Android smartphone, Nokia X was officially launched in India last month. The smartphone was originally introduced at the MWC 2014 event in February. Nokia launched the Nokia X in India with a price tag of Rs. 8,599, which was too much for a smartphone with entry-level specs. It looks like Nokia has realized it's mistake and has dropped the price of X by Rs. 1,572.
Nokia X is now available from online retailer Flipkart for just Rs. 7,027. Nokia is also expected to launch the rest two X series smartphones in India soon, dubbed as Nokia X+ and Nokia XL.
All the three smartphones runs on AOSP (Android Open Source Program) build of Android, with Microsoft's Could Services, not Google's.
In case you don't remember, Nokia X comes with a 4-inch IPS LCD WVGA display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play (MSM8225) processor, Adreno 203 GPU, 512MB RAM and forked version of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Other specifications include 3MP fixed focus rear camera, 4GB internal storage with up to 32GB expandable using microSD card and 1,500 mAh battery. The smartphone is 10.44mm thick and weighs 128.6 grams and comes with dual-SIM support.
