Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has sent an email announcement to all the employees of the company that it is planning to layoff 18,000 people within 2015. Unsurprisingly, of the 18,000 planned job cuts, 12,500 will be from Nokia Devices and Services. In addition to this, Stephen Elop, the Chief of Microsoft devices has announced that the Nokia X Android project will be discontinued.

Nokia's first ever Android smartphone, Nokia X was officially launched in India last month. The smartphone was originally introduced at the MWC 2014 event in February. Nokia launched the Nokia X in India with a price tag of Rs. 8,599, which was too much for a smartphone with entry-level specs. It looks like Nokia has realized it's mistake and has dropped the price of X by Rs. 1,572.

As expected, Nokia has officially launched its first ever Android phone Nokia X in the Indian market today. The smartphone was originally announced last month at MWC 2014 along with Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, other two Android-powered Nokia smartphones. Nokia X comes in range of colours which include Black, White, Cyan, Yellow, Green and Red colours and is priced at Rs. 8,599.

Nokia is soon going to launch its first ever Android phone in India. The company has started sending out press invites to the Indian tech press media for attending an event on March 10th, where the company will be announcing the Nokia X-series for the Indian market. Nokia X series consist of Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL. These smartphones were originally announced last month at MWC 2014, and are the first ever Android phones from the Finnish company.

Nokia has officially announced the much awaited and leaked Nokia X smartphone at MWC in Barcelona today. The company has not only announced the Nokia X, but has also announced two more Android smartphones under Nokia X series, yeah two more. All the three smartphones from Nokia are priced decently and will be available across the globe from Q2 2014, where the Nokia X will go on sale immediately.

Nokia has been shying away from Android devices for a long time but could not do the same for long. It is all set to launch its first and probably the last (can't say) Android device ever in the form of Nokia X and the smartphone has just been leaked in pictures and has showed off its tile based UI. It has been leaked from China and the smartphone will join the Asha lineup as the flagship Asha device.

Nokia has speeded up its operations for its upcoming Android smartphone, the Nokia Normandy. The smartphone seems to have touched down on Indian shores and is being given to the developers in the country and the company has told the developers that the smartphone will be launched around the IPL this year as Nokia will plan its marketing operations regarding the device around that time.
In related to the news, @evleaks has posted a new picture on its twitter profile which confirms that the upcoming Android-powered Nokia smartphone, codenamed Normandy will be called Nokia X.

The rumours of Nokia launching its first ever Android device, the Normandy aka Nokia X have been doing rounds for a while now and the same have now reached their peak. The device has now leaked again with updated specs which are now a bit different from the previous leaks. The smartphone will come with a 4-inch WVGA display and will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat but will not have support for Google Play.

Nokia will be pulling its bunny out of the hat this month by launching its first Android smartphone, the Nokia X which has been known as the Nokia Normandy till now. Yesterday, the largest online retailer in Vietnam posted a listing for the Nokia Normandy revealing the specifications. Today, prolific leaker @evleaks has moved forward and has provided some of the key specs of the Nokia's first ever Android smartphone, the Nokia X. The specifications shared by evleaks confirms that the smartphone is indeed going to be a low-budget smartphone.

Nokia will be going the Windows Phone way forever is something that has been iron clad by now but the company will indeed take help from Android. Nokia will soon introduce its first budget Android handset codenamed the Normandy soon at the MWC 2014 or on 25th March, 2014. The latest word on the street suggests that the device might be named the Nokia X or it is just another codename.
