Samsung is planning to launch a pretty odd device with the model SM-T2558. The spyshot of the tablet which can also make calls comes with a design similar to a smartphone but it actually is a 7-inch tablet. The device has a 7-inch screen with the dimensions of 191.24 x 99.7 x 8.95 mm and tips the scales at 245 grams. So it is smaller than a tablet but bigger than a smartphone.
It has voice calling abilities and when you compare it to other Samsung 7-inch tablets like the Tab 4 7.0 and Tab 3 7.0, you’ll notice that the device is narrower than them and is taller as well. It was approved by Chinese authorities earlier this month. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the 7-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD) pixels. It has TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA connectivity.
At the rear is an 8MP camera which gets coupled with a 2MP front facing camera. Ticking inside it is a 1.2GHz quad core processor of unknown make (mostly Snapdragon 400) and it has a 1.5GB of RAM complementing it. There is 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
Even though the device has been made just for China, we cannot deny the possibility of it hitting the global launchpad as well.
