Samsung is readying itself up for the launch of its camera centric smartphone, the Galaxy K and there’s just a week which remains until the official announcement of the device. Samsung could not really do a good job at keeping the device under the wraps till the launch and the device has just been leaked with its live images reaching the interweb.

The images which were posted on a Chinese forum give us a good look at the device and make us realise that Samsung has done a decent job at trimming down the device from its predecessor. It had a protruding camera unit and was pretty thick as well.

The last generation looked more of a digital camera than a smartphone but the things have turned around this time. These images matches with the earlier leaked image of S5 Zoom. As per the pictures, the phone comes with leather back with Galaxy S5 like dotted-pattern.

Samsung has scheduled a Samsung Media Day event on April 29th, 2014 at Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore, where the Korean giant will be unveiling it's second camera-centric smartphone, successor of last year's Galaxy S4 Zoom, known as the Samsung Galaxy K.

If you are unaware, Samsung Galaxy K (or say the K Zoom) is rumored to come with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 6-core Samsung Exynos 5260 Hexa-Core processor (two 1.7GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores), Mali-T624 GPU, 2GB RAM and  Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz user-interface on top.

The smartphone is also said to feature a 20.2MP rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Xenon flash and 10x optical zoom along with a 2.1MP front snapper and microSD card slot. Connectivity series include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, DLNA, WiFi Hotspot, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE / ANT+, USB 2.0 and an IR blaster.
