Xiaomi soon to enter 10 new markets this year including India

China based Xiaomi has announced its expansion plans and has claimed that the firm will be entering ten new markets including India this year. The expansion plan have been revealed at a press conference in Beijing. The company also stated its plans on Twitter posting a tweet reading, "Xiaomi is coming to 10 countries in 2014! Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico..."

China based Xiaomi has announced its expansion plans and has claimed that the firm will be entering ten new markets including India this year. The expansion plan have been revealed at a press conference in Beijing. The company also stated its plans on Twitter posting a tweet reading, "Xiaomi is coming to 10 countries in 2014! Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico..."

The company is yet to confirm its specific roll-out plan for these countries, but it would announce the same officially soon. Coming to the Indian market, Google’s Vice President Hugo Barra along with Bin Lin visited the country recently regarding debuting operations in India.

They revealed that the Xiaomi phones that are sold outside their homeland China will support Google Play Store and applications. Xiaomi is believed to change the game-play in the Indian segment much like Motorola as they offer smartphones with top-tier hardware at reasonable price tags.
