Motorola is geared up to take the wraps off its most affordable smartphone – Moto E on May 13th at simultaneous media events in London and New Delhi. With only a few days left for the launch the handset seems to have made its first round online as a user has posted an image of the Moto E on the official Facebook page of Motorola Mexico, claims AndroidPolice.
Besides this image leak, online retailer Flipkart, that Motorola has partnered with in India to sell its devices including the Moto G and Moto X has come up with a teaser of the upcoming affordable device. The portal also reveals that it will exclusively sell the Moto E in the country by the tag line ‘Coming Soon. Only on Flipkart.’
Though Flipkart has not mentioned the name of the handset in the teaser, the source code of the teaser page confirms that it is the Moto E. The Moto E will be going on sale in the country starting from May 13th itself via Flipkart. The teaser image posted by Flipkart has a sketch of the phone which matches with the above leaked image, indicating that the leaked image shows the real handset.
To discuss on the specs, the Moto E will come fitted with a 4.3-inch display of unknown resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone could also come with 4GB of in-built storage with microSD card slot, a 5MP rear camera and a 1,900 mAh battery. The Moto E is said to measure only 6.2 mm in thickness.
