The Google I/O 2014 event is drawing closer and it is an event where we will be seeing different new services and devices. Even, the wearable devices will be moving to an all new level with the Android Wear platform. According to media reports, the firm that has lined up many smartwatches so far has plans of coming up with one such device based on Android Wear.

Samsung Galaxy Gear

According to CNET, the number one smartphone manufacturer in the world, Samsung will be launching its very first Android Wear powered smartwatch at the I/O event next week. Well, the report suggests that the upcoming Samsung Android Wear watch will resemble the Gear devices that have been released so far and all the attendees at the Google I/O will be receiving one.

It is also reported that Samsung is working on two smartwatch models – one powered by an Exynos chipset and the other stuffed with a Qualcomm offering. While there is no clear information on which variant will be announced next week, it is likely that the Samsung RM-R382 smartwatch that was spotted at the FCC last week can go official.

The Google I/O conference is scheduled to happen in San Francisco on June 25th and June 26th and apart from Samsung we can also see Android Wear based LG G Watch and Moto 360 at the conference.
