Sony has officially announced a new mid-range Android smartphone. Dubbed as Sony Xperia T3, the smartphone is said to be the world's slimmest smartphone with a 5.3-inch display measuring just 7mm thick. The Xperia T3 uses a stainless steel frame and comes in Black, White and Purple colour options. According to Sony, the smartphone will be available globally starting from July-end. No word on pricing details yet.
Talking about the specifications, Sony Xperia T3 comes with a 5.3-inch HD IPS TRILUMINOS display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Xperia T3 is just 7mm thick and weights 148 grams.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and Exmor RS sensor, 1.1MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with expandable up to 32GB using microSD card and 2,500 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS, ANT+ and NFC support.
