HTC has officially announced the plastic variant of its flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One (M8). Dubbed as HTC One (E8), the smartphone has a plastic build and features top-tier specifications. HTC One (E8), also known as HTC One (M8) Ace was spotted on HTC China website few days ago. HTC has replaced the Duo camera with a 13MP snapper on the One (E8), rest all the specifications of E8 remains similar as M8.
HTC One (E8) comes in four different colour options including Polar White, Misty Gray, Electric Crimson and Maldives Blue. The smartphone will go on sale in China first followed by select markets starting this month. HTC has priced the One (E8) at just 2,799 Chinese Yuan (~ $450 - Rs. 26,500).
Apart from the plastic build and single rear camera set up, the One (E8) also misses the IR blaster support. On the specifications front, HTC One (E8) comes with a 5-inch Full HD Super LCD 3 display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2.3GHz / 2.5GHz (Asia) quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 on top.
The One (E8) is 9.85mm thick and weights 145 grams an has dual-SIM support. Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with up to 128GB supported microSD card and 2,600 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB 2.0, GPS, MHL, DLNA and NFC.
