Samsung India has started selling a new budget Android smartphone in the Indian market recently. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Star Advance, the smartphone comes with entry-level specs and will be competing with Moto E and Micromax Unite 2 smartphones. The Galaxy Star Advance comes in black and white colours and is now available from Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom. According to him, the smartphone has been priced at Rs 9,400, but will sell for Rs 7,299.
On the specifications front, Samsung Galaxy Star Advance comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The smartphone is 9.8mm thick and weights 138 grams.
Other specifications include a 3MP rear camera with LED flash, 4GB internal storage with expandable upto 32GB using microSD card and 1,800 mAh battery. Connectivity series include an 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi Direct, USB 2.0 and GPS.
There is no word on wider availability or official launch yet though it might happen soon, maybe next week or so.
